I graduated from the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2009. I am registered with the New Zealand register of Acupuncturists and also an ACC registered provider. My extensive travels in China has allowed me to extend my scope of practice, knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine and associated lifestyles practices.
My treatments are never painful as the needles we use are unique and not at all like medical needles. I’m able to assist with a wide variety of conditions - to list a few; Digestive problems, menstrual issues, Stress and Anxiety related problems, Muscular Skeletal injuries, and many more.
I have a particular interest in treating Fertility issues in both men and women: I am a member of Wellington Fertility, Acupuncture and Childbirth team. This involvement has allowed me to work onsite at Fertility Associates for over 6 years, treating their patients prior to IVF procedures.
I’m able to assist couples conceive regardless of whether they’re going through assisted reproductive techniques or conceiving naturally.
Chinese medicine does not replace Western medicine - but enhances, balances, and complements it. I will always encourage you to seek out Western medical treatment when needed, as I prefer to work in concert with your primary care doctor to achieve the best possible health outcomes for you.
Alongside practicing Acupuncture, I am also a trained and qualified Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber and Quantum Resonance System technician.

Nicola is a member of the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists and has been in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for six years. After graduating from a four year Bachelor of Health Science Acupuncture in 2011 from the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nicola embarked on a five year journey of practicing acupuncture within the cruise line industry. Not only fine tuning skills in muscular skeletal conditions over this time, Nicola also held public educational seminars on TCM.
“I was doing the things which inspire me the most in life. My work involved what I loved, treating with acupuncture and experiencing other cultures and countries”.
Nicolas interest is helping people gain a better quality of life, especially within the mental-emotional (depression and anxiety) and stress relief scope. Nicola has been treating these conditions alongside others including pain, injuries, migraines, digestive, sleep, menstruation and fertility disorders, and since returning ‘from sea’, Nicola has been treating at two busy clinics in the Wellington region.
Nicola enjoys providing a supportive, safe and relaxing environment within treatment, helping patients get their needs met within the scope of the condition.
